State of Minnesota (Stearns County) v. My Client

My client was involved in a dispute with neighbors and was ultimately arrested. What should have been a simple separation of people become a much more serious matter when my client was charged with felony making threats of violence and misdemeanor DWI by the Stearns County Attorney’s Office. After investigation and negotiation with the prosecution, the prosecuting attorney agreed to dismiss the felony charge and the DWI charge against my client.

My client was charged with gross misdemeanor third-degree DWI with one prior DWI conviction in the previous 10 years. My client was involved in a single-vehicle accident. My client was charged with serious felony drug and firearm charges in Stearns County after police obtained a search warrant and searched his garage. I also challenged the accuracty of the information contained within the search warrant application. After negotiating with the prosecutor, the State agreed to restore my client's firearm rights and expunge his criminal conviction. The Carver County Judge adopted the agreement and signed an order to expunge my client's criminal conviction and restore his firearm rights.
